JR's Book Club

It's the last book club for 2025! It will also be our Christmas gathering. This year, please buy a book that you want to read but have not yet and put it into a gift bag. The person who ends up getting your gift can look inside and see if it is not one they have already read before keeping it. When we meet in January, they can share their thoughts on the book with everyone and then return it to you for you to read. Also, if you would like to participate, please bring a treat that in some way references one of the books we have read this year. Don't tell anyone about your choice because prizes will be rewarded for those who guess the most correct references. On a sidenote, Octavia Brown's "Kindred" received mixed reviews, with some thoroughly enjoying it, and some struggling to finish it. Since the spectrum was so divided, it is hard to recommend or not. You will have to decide for yourself! In case Facebook decides to mess with the times, as usual, book club will be at 6 PM, December 2.
