Tonic Roots is a Sheboygan, Wisconsin–based band featuring Ann Berchem (vocals/keys), Jeff Kolar (guitar/vocals), Adam DeSombre (bass), and Paul Massey (percussion). The group draws from a wide spectrum of musical influences, blending soulful blues, jazz, acoustic rock, reinvented classics, and original repertoire into a sound that is both familiar and fresh.
Known for smooth, soulful vocals, intricate guitar work, and thoughtfully crafted arrangements, Tonic Roots brings a distinctive artistic touch to every performance. Their diverse set lists span generations and genres, with interpretations of artists such as Etta James, Billie Holiday, Susan Tedeschi, Melody Gardot, Eva Cassidy, Sara Bareilles, Norah Jones, Peter Gabriel, and Sting, along with a dash of Led Zeppelin and many influences in between.
