Bring your Christmas spirit and join us for an unforgettable evening filled with both sacred and secular music performed by the fantastic "8th Notes" Group of the  Hiawathaland Chorus of Rudyard.

The Hiawathaland Chorus was formed in 1973 by Rudyard's choir director, David Erfourth. The group was active until 1998 when Mr. Efourth retired from teaching.  Amanda Ross started the group up again around 2014, and directed until she moved away. After many years of retirement, Mr. Erfourth took over the position once again, and is now the current director.

"We hold no auditions, and have no age limits or membership fees. The chorus rehearses around ten times a year, and performs an annual Christmas concert, a spring concert and up to 4 more concerts in the Rudyard area. Their repertoire ranges from classical to contemporary; from serious to light-hearted! The music is both sacred and secular in nature. 

Our chorus is supported by donations which are used to purchase music, tune pianos, buy supplies, etc.  The mission statement or goal of the chorus is to share their love of singing with the surrounding communities, and express the joy of music and how it is “food for the soul”.  
We hope to convey to the audience our emotional connection to the music, and that they enjoy the musical feast!"
