The Australian Kendo Renmei (AKR) and the Iaidō Board are pleased to invite practitioners and enthusiasts to attend the 34th Australian Iaidō Seminar and Championships, held at the Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct from Friday 4 September to Sunday 6 September 2026.
This event marks a return to the inclusive, live‑in training environment and camaraderie valued by many in past seminars, made possible through onsite accommodation options at the venue.

Visiting Instructors
We are honoured to welcome:
• Morishima Kazuki Sensei — Kyōshi 8 Dan
• Takizawa Tomomi Sensei — Kyōshi 7 Dan
Both instructors bring exceptional depth of experience and are supported by senior Australian teachers as directed.

Event Components
• ZNKR Iaidō Seminar
• Australian Iaidō Championships
• AKR National Dan Grading (up to 5 Dan)
• QKR State Kyū Grading (TBC)
• Sayonara Party
All participants will attend the seminar as students unless otherwise requested by the Japanese delegation or specified in the event schedule.

Beginner Option – Limited Places
A special introductory program is available for participants new to Iaidō:
• $80 total
• Two 4‑hour sessions
• Training equipment provided
• No prior experience required
• Limited to 10 participants
