Service defined her life, often placed ahead of her own needs and ultimately her own health.She faced a brief nine-month battle with cancer, along with years of diabetes and high blood pressure, conditions that disproportionately affect South Asians and are often detected too late. Her experience is a powerful reminder that prevention, early detection, and sustained care can save lives.In her memory, I am proud to support the El Camino Health Foundation’s South Asian Heart Center as it marks 20 years of community service. The Center is a national leader in prevention, outreach, and research focused on heart disease and diabetes in the South Asian community. It is now expanding its proven prevention model by engaging women and young adults earlier, supporting cancer survivors through the SPARCs lifestyle health coaching program, and leveraging advanced screening and technology for more personalized prevention.At this event, we will be joined by Ashish Mathur, CoFounder and Executive Director of the South Asian Heart Center, along with Anita Sathe, Chair Case Managemet, who will share insights into their work and programs that can benefit you.We are inviting close family and friends for this event with approximately one hour of an interactive session, followed by some casual time for us to connect and chat.Please register for each member for your family seperately for us to be able manage logistics based on total # of attendees.We look forward to seeing you!Regards,Mansi and AbhayP.S.
