Portside Chowder House: Seven-Course Seafood Dinner

Take a trip down memory lane with Chef Jacob Demars to the restaurant that started it all. 🦐 Long before he became the great chef many of us know today, he began working the dish pit at Portside Chowder House in New England, learning the pace, pressure, and pride of a true seafood kitchen. Those early days shaped his respect for ingredients, his discipline and his love for honest, well-made food.

For one evening, we’re bringing the coastline to Iowa. The theme is seafood, grounded in classic New England flavor shaped by the waters of the Atlantic. Expect a seven-course dinner with comforting coastal staples. It’s a dinner rooted in memory, hard work, and the kitchens that quietly shape who we become.
