This annual village Christmas game has become such a fun tradition, a little friendly suspense, a lot of laughs, and a great way to support others in our community.

Fun Rules and a couple new ones for the 10th Year.

First Out = 2 Bottles of Wine!
The very first player eliminated walks away a winner with two bottles.

Last Out = 2 Bottles of Wine!
The final name drawn before the winners also scores two bottles.

Draw Your Own Name = 1 Bottle of Wine!
Helping with the draws? If you pull your own name, you win a bottle instantly.

Random Wine Giveaways!
Keep an eye out, there’ll be a few surprise draws from the elimination box for bonus bottles throughout the game.

Special 10th Anniversary Rules:

Day 10 -The Comeback Draw: one eliminated player gets a second chance and re-enters the game!

Day 20 - The Gift Bag Prize: the first person eliminated that day wins a little treat bag.

Here’s How the Game Works:

This is an elimination-style game. Read through carefully, everything you need to know is right here!

1. Entry: $15 entry fee plus one bottle of wine valued at $15 or more (standard 750ml only). Be creative, and generous with your choice!

2. Who Can Play: One entry per person. Multiple people from the same household can join in, but you must be 19+ to play.

3. Drop-Off: Bring your wine and $15 entry fee to JIPSI TREE by December 1st at NOON.

4. Game Time: The fun begins December 1st! Each day, names will be drawn from the game box, if your name is drawn, you’re eliminated. You do not want to see your name come up!
Daily eliminations will be posted on this event page between 6–7pm, so check in to see if you’re still in the running.

5. Winners Announced December 22nd!
On the final day, the remaining players who haven’t been eliminated will be crowned the grand winners. (The number of grand winners will be determined once the number of players for this year's game is finalized.)
But don’t worry, if your name was eliminated earlier, you’re not out of luck! At the end of the game, all eliminated players go back into the box for runner-up draws. The wine pot is usually huge and is divided into several top and runner-up prizes. 

6. Playing for a Cause
All entry fees go directly toward creating Christmas hampers for Cumberland families in need.
Last year, we were able to donate five hampers, working with the Salvation Army to reach local families anonymously. Whether you win or not, your $15 entry helps make someone’s holiday brighter. 

7. Who Can Play
To join, you must live or work in Cumberland, BC, and be 19+ years of age.

Spread the Word!
Tell your friends, coworkers, and neighbors in Cumberland, the more players who join, the merrier (and the bigger the wine pot!), and the more we raise to help others.

9. Get Involved!
Throughout the game, players are invited to stop by the shop to help draw names, it’s all part of the fun and suspense!

10. Community Spirit
This game has become such a wonderful tradition ,a way to come together, share some laughs, and support our village neighbors.
