Winter is a “thin time” in Gaelic tradition, when the boundary between our world and the Otherworld loosens and stories wander freely. Ancestors draw close, uncanny visitors drift through the dark, and music becomes a bridge between realms.
Into this steps When the Veil Is Thin, an evening shaped in part by Luke’s recent wanderings across Ireland—moving like an old-time troubadour from pub to pub, and session to session, trading verses, charming strangers, and gathering songs the way the old poets once gathered coin and praise. We'll be bringing fresh stories, and some old and new tunes to this family-friendly, seasonal celebration, touched by road-dust, laughter, and perhaps a hint of the Otherworld itself.
From ghostly ballads to bright winter airs, we celebrate this season as a living threshold. With warmth, humour, and a troubadour’s flair, Siarimis invites you into a midwinter gathering where the Irish oral tradition opens the door between the seen and the unseen.
Tickets are 20$ and kids tickets half-price for cosy floor seating!
