Mino Devost/Town Choir: Mino has been teaching voice and leading singers for many years. Mino is interested in community, voice, identity and connection, which influences her singing and teaching style. They started Town Choir 8 years ago in the unceded territory of the Komox First Nation, welcoming people of all levels of ability. Town Choir meets weekly to sing about joy, death, and everything in between.
Description: Pop-up choir workshop led by Town Choir director Mino Devost along with Town Choir members. Mino will lead everyone in a warm up and then people will listen to the song we will be learning (Real Love Baby by Father John Misty.) Then Mino will teach the song and harmony parts and everyone will sing it together. Lyrics sheets provided!
Festival goers with a ticket can attend. The public can also attend, suggested sliding scale donation ($5-$20).
The Woodstove Music & Arts Festival is a non-profit community arts festival presented by Cumberland Culture & Arts Society
It takes place in a variety of unique venues downtown in the Village of Cumberland, BC on the unceded traditional territory of the K'ómoks First Nation. Cozy up in a historic Cumberland venue for a celebration of music makers, music lovers and the creative power of the winter season!
