Kelly Grant (she/her), CCC
Living and breathing the words “come as you are,” Kelly welcomes life’s messy moments with open arms. With a background in community-based work, she has experience connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and supporting those facing systemic barriers. Kelly brings gentle curiosity and deep respect to every therapeutic relationship. Outside the therapy room, Kelly prioritizes creativity, movement, and play through art, outdoor adventures, or simply being present in everyday moments.
Lisa Kenzie (she/they), RCC
Committed to nurturing sustainable relational landscapes, Lisa works with those exploring intimacy, attachment, conflict, and repair - the full complexity of human connection. Her approach invites slowing down, listening to the body’s wisdom, and cultivating self-understanding in relationship to others and the natural world. This year, Lisa started writing (more) poetry and is developing a profound appreciation for those small, tender reminders of beauty, resistance, liberation, and connection in everyday life.
Together, Kelly and Lisa co-facilitate group therapy for people-pleasing behaviours, drawing from relational, somatic, and communication-based approaches to help participants develop their authentic voice and confidence in connection.
Workshop Description: Boundaries are the foundation of healthy relationships - they teach others how to care for us and help us stay grounded in authenticity. In this experiential workshop, you’ll explore the practice of boundary setting through movement, creativity, and guided reflection.
Drawing from the work of Virginia Satir and nonviolent communication, facilitators Lisa Kenzie and Kelly Grant will guide participants through a process of embodiment called ‘Shaping’, in which we explore the postures of the blaming, placating, and congruent selves. From this embodied awareness, you’ll be supported in crafting your own personalized boundary-setting statement - a clear and compassionate expression of what works for you, what doesn’t, and how you wish to be treated in relationships.
This 1-hour workshop includes grounding exercises and group discussion in a supportive, trauma-informed, and collaborative environment. Together, we’ll explore how boundaries can be an act of care for ourselves, for others, and for the spaces we share.
Open to the public. Capacity: 20 participants (flexible based on interest/space available).
Festival goers with a ticket can attend. The public can also attend, suggested sliding scale donation ($5-$20).
