It's the return of...the return of FOREVER PLAID!
On February 9, 1964, the harmony group Forever Plaid from Stroudsburg, PA, got their first big gig on the other side of the state, but as they drove through the moonless night, their Mercury was hit by a bus from Our Lady of Harrisburg on their way to see the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan show. None of the teens aboard were injured. The Plaids, however...
Last year, the boys in plaid returned from the great beyond to perform the show they never got to do in life, and then went back to the other side after hearing the applause of the Cumberland crowds. Or did they...?
Now Jinx, Sparky, Smudge, and Francis are back on earth with their holiday show, PLAID TIDINGS! Not only will you hear them sing their usual American Songbook standards like "Stranger in Paradise" and "Sh-Boom," but they'll get you in a festive mood with their renditions of classics like "The Christmas Song" and "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," while cracking you up with wacky antics in "Christmas Calypso" and "Twuz the Nite B4." Not to mention running through the history of the Ed Sullivan Show in three minutes and eleven seconds! It's four-part-harmony fun for the whole family!
In line with Acting Out for Good's charitable mission, proceeds from this production will benefit the Western Maryland Food Bank.
