Join us on November 12, 2025, from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Allegany County Fairgrounds to learn about creating a thriving environment where youth and adults can succeed together and strengthen these vital relationships. All volunteers are encouraged to attend. To register, email jparrish@umd.edu by November 10.

Effective partnerships between youth and adults foster growth. It’s vital to consider how adults can engage teens and how teens can embrace leadership roles in their communities. The 4-H Thriving Model highlights social competence, connection, personal responsibility, and contribution. Many volunteers struggle to cultivate these outcomes, especially with adolescents navigating self-discovery. Teens also face challenges in recognizing their potential.
