- **Event Description**: Join Alcott for an evening of volunteer projects focused on uplifting the women in our community!About this EventAt this volunteer event we’ll be creating one of our staple volunteer projects, Welcome Home Baskets, which are bundles of basic household resources that help clients transitioning into permanent housing set themselves up for success. This time, the baskets will be focused on supplies for women entering motherhood alongside permanent housing. We’ll also be organizing some clothing donations, preparing it to be used by our woman-only Interim Housing site.About these programs:Alcott’s Maternal Health program helps new or expecting mothers who are navigating re-entry find permanent housing. Program staff meets biweekly with the OBGYN, J*il team, and doulas from the MAMA’s Neighborhood (a DHS program that supports with pre and postnatal care for maternal health clients) to assess new referrals.Alcott’s Interim Housing services provide for individuals navigating justice-involved challenges across 3 interim housing sites.
