Looking ahead with hopes and plans for a brighter future, West Coast Writers Conferences has confirmed plans to hold the Annual Greater Los Angeles Writers Conference August 7-9, 2020.
How You Benefit as a Writer
Writers of all genres and disciplines benefit from this important educational & inspirational three-day event devoted to the craft and business of writing. This popular event differentiates itself by offering tracks for Aspiring, Active, and Accomplished writers (what we call the 3-A’s) in fiction, nonfiction and screenplay. It will feature more almost 50 literary agents, editors, publishers, veteran educators, best-selling authors, and industry professionals in progressive streams of seminars and workshops, delivering an educational and inspirational experience. Each track offers a progressive stream of topics, so you thrive in an educational environment all weekend.
AGLAWC is a professional event for serious writers
You will meet and network in person with literary agents, professional editors, and industry professionals, who can guide you on the path to success.
If you have a work-in-progress, you can participate in Advance Submission ProCritiques™ to have your work reviewed/edited by professional editors and literary agents. There is an informative session with the "agents du jour" to help prepare for your actual meeting. We don't guarantee books deals, but they do happen!
AGLAWC is open to all levels of literary and screenplay writers. Early registration discounts with "six-months same as cash" financing available. Right now, you can save up to $200 off the 3-day registration for the best writers conference of the summer! Only $249 until the special tickets are sold out.
Mindful of Covid-19 pandemic, and out of an abundance of caution, WC2 will be working closely with the DoubleTree Hotel in Los Angeles Westside to provide the best environment for all. And based on projections we believe we’ll be able to safely gather together in August to celebrate writing and writers. That said, WC2 is preparing alternatives should the situation dictate a different response, including a virtual conference with special bonuses, full credit towards our many future events, or a combination of both.
