"A Light from the Heavens" brings together moving choral music, designed to stir the soul.  From the elegant, calming melodies of Faure’s "Cantique de Jean Racine" to the grand, sweeping hope of Bainton’s "And I Saw a New Heaven" and the romantic warmth of Ireland’s "Greater love hath no man", these pieces speak a universal language of love and longing.  We will also premiere "A John Donne Triptych" by Exeter composer Nigel Walsh, setting poems by John Donne that wrestle with doubt and faith.

Whether it’s the dramatic power of Kodály’s "Missa Brevis" or the radiant, otherworldly beauty of Harris’s "Faire is the Heaven", this evening promises an immersive atmosphere of peace, passion, and heavenly music.  Click on Tickets to see the full programme on our website.
