For League Members-DIL-Voting Process Powerpoint Training

Please put January 20, 2026 on your Meeting calendar for our first meeting of the year at Cuba Library, starting at 5:30. Parking is available in the lot across the street from the Library. We will be previewing the voting process power point developed by Directions in Independent Living staff. Since the meeting will be mostly a presenter training session in anticipation of going out to high schools (that will allow it) this spring to show it, it will be a closed meeting for members and selected guests - NOT open to the public at this time, but we may offer it later in the year. It is geared toward those with disabilities but is very suitable for any first time registering voter. THIS FITS RIGHT IN WITH OUR GOALS OF MORE VOTER REGISTRATION AND GOTV AND BEING PART OF POTENTIALLY UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS. As a reminder, in 2018 and 2019 we were building momentum with our VR efforts in high schools and most were quite receptive to our presence on their campuses, then covid stopped all of that. Even though we have not been at schools since then, we still maintain our contacts with each high school, which should facilitate setting up a schedule of presentation dates. That's when we will need YOU! If snowy, the library may be able to facilitate a zoom call that we set up for January 20.
