This is our Most POPULAR BASKET CLASS! Please sign up early to reserve your spot- seating is limited.

This Is a Large Basket - the Blanket Basket can hold your blankets, quilts, etc., or lots of kids or pet toys, wood by the fireplace, magazines/newspapers, pillows, and all kinds of things that you want to store & organize. Once you have woven the first 4 rows, you have complete freedom to choose your reed sizes and colors to create a beautiful Basket that reflects your personality.

Your Basket will have wooden base and side handles - You can upgrade to LEATHER handles for an additional $10 at class. You will get 4 wooden feet for the bottom, and wooden side handles.

Be prepared to stand and weave this basket once it reaches over 5 rows. To allow everyone to weave at their own pace, class will run 10am - 4pm but you could finish sooner.

*** Because this is a long class. Feel free to bring a snack/ lunch/beverage for the day. We will have additional finger foods available.

*** Basket weaving requires some degree of hand strength. Since there is repetitive motion in weaving, and this Basket is very large - requiring you to stand to weave at some point, you may want to bring any medications you might need to make you comfortable for the day (Tylenol, etc.).

** No prior weaving experience is needed for this Basket; however, students must be able to follow directions and work independently.

*** Be sure to wear your "crafting clothes" - you will be working with water and dyed reed that may "bleed", as well as wood stains if you want to stain your basket after class.

*** You can stain your basket after class for an additional $5 staining fee - IF the weather cooperates.
