This Tahoe Forest Stewardship Day event brings the community together to restore the forests, streams, and watershed that protect Lake Tahoe’s famous clarity.

Following restoration work completed in fall 2025, the site now needs additional planting and care after a long Sierra winter. Volunteers will work alongside restoration professionals to help strengthen streambanks, improve habitat, and support long-term ecosystem health.

No experience required. Tools, training, snacks, and lunch will be provided.

What We’ll Be Doing:
• Planting native vegetation along the stream corridor
• Stabilizing streambanks and erosion-prone areas
• Enhancing riparian habitat
• Supporting long-term stream restoration efforts

Projects will range from easy to more physically demanding, so everyone can participate. Volunteers will select a project during check-in.
