THE Ballance House, 118a, Lisburn Rd, Glenavy, BT29 4NY hosts a Tackling Textiles Workshop on the last Sat in March.
 In this workshop, hosted by the Ulster New Zealand Centre, students will ‘learn by doing’ simple visible mending techniques using creative stitching, patches and darning techniques adding character and style to your well-loved clothes. 
  The workshop will be led by an Education Officer from Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council. All materials are provided and you will be able to take a sample kit home to continue your practice.
  Starting at 10.15 am on Sat, March 28 with that essential tea orcoffee this workshop  runs to approximately 12 noon.
 Only 15 places are available so prompt booking at £5 per person  is advised by e mailing info@theballancehouse.com
