Children will construct their very own models of the space-age looking plane Amy and Jim flew, the DH.88 Comet, 'Black Magic'. The session is delivered by Jenny Lockyer, experienced facilitator and Creative Director of FLY: The Amy Johnson Festival of Inspiration. https://www.flyfestival.co.uk FLY was created to elevate and celebrate Amy's legacy and inspire people with her story. As the first woman to fly solo from England to Australia and the second woman in the world to qualify as a ground engineer, Amy's story begins with defying the odds.
