Book on to the Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England - 2 Day course on 8th & 9th July, in Croydon and become an accredited Mental Health First Aider.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a training course which teaches people how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue.
Learning takes place face to face, across four manageable sessions, through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities.
Each session is built around a Mental Health First Aid action plan. The sessions are:
Session 1 - Mental Health First Aid, About mental health & Depression
Session 2 - Suicide & Substance misuse
Session 3 - Anxiety disorders, Self-harm, Eating disorders & Personality disorders
Session 4 - Psychosis & Building a mentally healthy community
Numbers are limited to 16 people per course so that we can keep people safe and supported while they learn.
Everyone who completes the course receives:
- A certificate of attendance to say you are a Mental Health First Aider.
- A Mental Health First Aid manual to refer to whenever you need it.
- A workbook including some helpful tools to support your own mental health.
