Join the Friends of the Rising Sun Inn on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 1PM for another installment of their Tavern Talk and Tour Series. This Tavern Talk will feature Sommelier, Jeff Jamieson. Jeff will discuss the history of wine in the US and France.
The United States and France have long been allies beginning with the American Revolution, but they don't always agree on everything. In particular, the French can be quite uppity about their wine. Imagine Washington and Rochambeau sitting together at the Rising Sun Inn, sharing libations, and arguing which country produced the best wine. True, Thomas Jefferson was just beginning to create American wines and so they would not have been able to have a real debate. But what if they could…
Tickets are $55 per person or $100 per pair. Admission includes tastings of well known white and red varietals from France and the USA, with a cheese selection to complement the wines and souvenir wine glass. Tour of the Rising Sun Inn follows lecture and tasting.
Coupons will be offered by Bin 201 in Annapolis for attendees to purchase any wines we taste at a discounted price.
