We’ve got another call for art for you.

South Lake Artists’ Co-op is putting together a new exhibition at Sip Coffee House & Artisan Café in Crown Point, and the theme is “Aquatic”.

This show is all about water in all its forms and interpretations — oceans, lakes, rivers, rain, underwater life, reflections, movement, swimming, sea creatures, tides, storms, stillness, mystery, and everything in between. ???

We encourage artists to explore the theme however it speaks to them. Maybe it’s peaceful and meditative. Maybe it’s wild and untamed. Maybe it’s inspired by marine biology, summer memories, deep-sea dreams, or the beauty of life beneath the surface. Show us that underwater seascape or that mermaid with her pet fish. Get funky with it, dream a little underwater dreamscape, and show us your interpretation of the world under the sea. 

Literal or abstract, personal or imaginative — all interpretations are welcomed.

But SHOW US SOME WATER. ?✨

All mediums are welcome as long as the work can be SAFELY mounted to the wall with proper wiring! ?

Please name your jpegs clearly so we can match titles to the art. We need to know which piece goes with which tag!

You’ll receive an email notification for any accepted work the following day after the submission deadline.

✨ GOOD TO KNOW ?
• NO submission or commission fees
• Size Limit: No larger than 39 inches
• Sculpture: Must be securely mountable on the WALL
• Framing: All pieces MUST be properly framed and wired (NO sawtooth hangers)
• We will not hang pieces that aren’t ready to go — no exceptions

— Do not leave artwork unattended or with coffee shop staff without notifying a SLAC admin
— Attach a tag to the back of your piece with your name, title, and price (or NFS)

Expect good art, good coffee, and a chance to gather with fellow artists and art lovers while celebrating all things aquatic.
