The 48 State Ride is an event Rick "Blaster" Pratt had on his bucket list. Unfortunately he didn't get around to making it happen despite all of the miles he rode with his fellow veterans and others.
Back in 2020 we rode the 48 states in his honor and we're doing it again in his memory. It's important we never forget those positive impacts we've had in our lives, and Blaster lived as that influence on us.
We're going to include a few prominent points along the way. First we're going to attend and participate in the Middle Eastern Conflict Wall in Illinois. This is an incredible event to which Blaster introduced many of us. It's a place of honor and remembrance, so it's truly fitting for the ride. We'll include some back highways (like Route 66) along the way as Blaster was keen on deviating off the interstate on just about every ride. It's about the ride, not the destination. We're also going to stop in Las Vegas to visit some of Blaster's family including Josh, his cousin who tragically died on his last jump in jump school.
It's understood not everyone is available to ride the entire route. You're more than welcome to join us for any segment (large or small) or the whole shebang. Every rider is responsible for making sure he/she is riding legally in all aspects (including but not limited to helmets), preparing his/her bike for an extensive journey and will address any and all mechanical issues with the understanding the mission continues, and supplying his/her own medical, lodging, food, and other necessities along the route.
All riders must also understand this is a voluntary and personal journey for each person who participates. This ride is not tethered in any way with any official entity. There is no "official business" of any kind. This is just a little trip remembering a combat veteran who made a significant impact on everyone he interacted with and enjoying the ride and spending time with one another as he always did.
So Let's F*ck*ng Ride!!
