Junior Loon Biologist
Get ready to dive into the world of loons as a Junior Loon Biologist! This program brings youth into the day in the life of a biologist, including hands-on activities, educational sessions, and a chance to observe loons in their natural habitat. Each participant recieves a Junior Loon Biologist Field Journal and sticker!
This program is uniquely focused on kids ages 7-12. The drop off and pick up location is at the Day Use Area of the Cross Lake Recreation Area, where one of our staff members will be waiting to meet you and walk over to the National Loon Center's pontoon, The StewardShip. Drop-off is at 8:30am and pick-up is at 10:00am.
*A parent is welcome to join if desired, but is not required. Space is limited on the NLC boat, if parent is accompanying, they must register along with child. Kids will be walked to and from the boat dock by National Loon Center staff.
