Although many people immediately think of “voodoo dolls”, poppets have a far wider and gentler history across European and British folk traditions. They’re not objects of harm, but vessels for focus, healing, and personal intention.

In this hands‑on workshop, each attendee will create two poppet dolls to take home:

1. A Basic Poppet
You'll start by making a simple corn-husk doll to learn the construction process of tying, shaping, binding, and forming the figure. This poppet can later be used for any purpose you choose, once inspiration strikes.

2. An Intention Poppet
Your second doll will be crafted with a specific purpose in mind: protection, comfort, confidence, love, or any personal intention you wish to weave into its form. You’ll choose herbs, colours, and symbols that will reinforce your goal, turning your poppet into a meaningful magical companion.
