Nahanni, our friendly Library Reading Dog, will be here for a relaxed morning of reading and tail wags!
Not all kids feel confident reading aloud—and that’s totally okay. Reading is a skill that takes time to build, and sometimes what makes the biggest difference is having a safe, low-pressure space to practice.
That’s where Nahanni comes in! Reading to a dog isn't about correcting every word—it’s about helping kids feel good about reading. Library Dog programs are designed to make reading feel fun, calming, and judgement-free. Over time, that positive feeling can boost confidence, motivation, and help kids see reading as something they want to do.
If your child loves dogs, needs a little encouragement, or just wants a cozy place to share a story, stop by and say hi. We love books, we love dogs, and we love helping kids find joy in reading.
No registration required—come when you can!
