Appropriate for anyone working in the field of substance misuse prevention, this interactive, case-based course invites participants to explore the six principles of the Prevention Code of Ethics. A four-step decision-making process, designed to help practitioners navigate the ethical dilemmas they face, will also be discussed and applied. This 8 hour course meets the ethics training requirement for prevention professional certification.
Tickets are limited and are available on a first-come-first serve basis. Registration closes Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

Continuing Education: This program is designated for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) and MN Board of Social Work to receive up to 6 total Category I continuing education contact hours. There are no maximum advanced-level continuing education contact hours available for this training.
Cancellation due to low registration or severe weather: In order to deliver this training with fidelity and ensure optimal participation and engagement, we require a minimum number of registrants to hold this training. In the rare event that we don't reach that number of registrants within 2-weeks of the scheduled start date, we may need to cancel the training. In the event of a cancellation due to low registration, we will work with individual attendees to determine whether they want their registration refunded or applied to a future training. Similar considerations may be made for severe weather events or emergencies.
