Prepare2Fly is thrilled to share the gift of new shoes with you at our Sole Mates event on July 25, 2026, at the Crockett Civic Center located at 1100 Edmiston St. Crockett, TX.

The Story Behind Sole Mates

Sole Mates is an annual initiative by Prepare2Fly that partners with community members to provide children with the shoes they need to start the school year with confidence. Originally founded in Alvin, TX, by Regina Stredic, known for her unwavering dedication to helping children, the program has now expanded into Houston and Trinity Counties under the leadership of Tricia Hensley and Prepare2Fly. 

The inspiration for Sole Mates came from a high school student not having the proper shoes for track practice, along with others around school wearing shoes that were barely holding together. This ignited the vision to address the growing need for proper footwear among children in our communities.

Students: Register to Receive New Shoes

Families seeking new shoes for their children should use the following link: https://forms.gle/xHmmw2xutP9bMWQTA 

This will lead to a form requesting the following details:

- Student Information: Name, age, gender
- Parent/Guardian Contact: Name, email, phone number
- Shoe Preferences: Shoe size, favorite brands, favorite colors
- School Details: School attending and grade level entering

Important Deadlines

**All student registrations must be submitted by May 30, 2026. **

After this date, Prepare2Fly will match sponsors with students. Sponsors will then receive an email containing their matched student's details, including: name, shoe size, school attending, grade level, age, gender, favorite colors and favorite brands of shoes. This information will assist sponsors in selecting the perfect pair of shoes for their matched student.
