Join us for a refreshing Sunday Social Walk in Crich, Derbyshire, and enjoy one last outing in the Peak District before the year ends.
This friendly group walk is the perfect way to stretch your legs between Christmas and New Year, whether you’re bringing a dog or just fancy some fresh air and good company.
We’ll explore the scenic countryside surrounding Crich — a mix of open fields, woodland paths, and rolling hills — before finishing with coffee and cake at Loaf Bakery. It’s relaxed, social, and designed for everyone who loves being outdoors.
No dog required, just bring your boots and a smile!
What to Expect
6–8 km circular route around Crich and surrounding countryside
A gentle social pace suitable for most walkers
Optional coffee & cake stop at Loaf Bakery afterwards
Routes vary each time, but always include great views and friendly company
Led by Alex, a qualified Hill & Moorland Leader (and her friendly dog Leia)
Terrain & Facilities
The route includes mixed paths: forest trails, grassy fields, and some short steep ascents and descents.
Expect uneven ground, tree roots, and some muddy sections (especially in winter).
Facilities: Public toilets near the Market Place, café and bakery, local shop and pub
Public Transport: 141, 142, and 319 buses stop at Crich Market Place; Whatstandwell Train Station is about a 30-minute uphill walk
What to Bring
Sturdy walking boots or shoes
