Major political parties havefailed to serve the interests of the British people, yielding instead to supranationalinfluences that undermine the sovereignty and integrity of our nation.It was in this context that the Alliance for Democracy and Freedom was founded in 2020.In 2021, it launched the Belmont Declaration, establishing a patriotic partnership amonglikeminded parties committed to a British revival. The Belmont Declaration led to theformation in 2024 of the Belmont Accord. This partnership of parties contested theGeneral Election of 2024 based on mutual support and cooperation. Today, we reaffirmour joint commitment to serve the interests of our country and our people according to theFive Principles of the Belmont Accord.The Five Principles of the Belmont Accord1. State SovereigntyWe support the international order of sovereign states whose laws enjoy primacy over anyother positive law, and we defend the principle of the right of national self-determination.2. Secure BordersWe believe nations have the right to maintain their cultural integrity, to preserve theirlanguages and heritage, and to secure their borders and people against foreignaggression, colonisation and exploitation.3. Rule of LawWe stand by the principles of the rule of law, due process, the right to a fair trial, includingtrial by jury, and proportionate sentencing, and we oppose selective prosecutions.4. Civil LibertiesWe defend our conventional freedoms, including but not limited to the right to privacy,freedom of worship and conscience, freedom of thought and speech, freedom ofmovement and assembly, the right of petition, and economic freedoms, including the rightto private property and cash.5.
