# Event Details - **Event Name**: Danny Lemmon hosts Songwriter Night - **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 08 Jul, 2026 at 06:00 pm - **Event Description**: This event features all original music performed live by the original songwriters. The event is usually 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. There was a problem with the AC at the venue this week so we were asked to cancel the July 1st event. We have rescheduled for next week. Thankfully we have the same great line up available to be there for the rescheduled date! I’ll start out at 6:00 with a set of my songs. Then we will hear from our featured songwriters: Mike and Shelly Gajdik Mike writes in the folk/blues tradition and harmonizes wonderfully with the beautiful voice of his daughter Shelly. Mike tells stories of life and love in inventive metaphors and humorous anecdotes. He has been performing in the NW Indiana and Chicagoland area for over four decades This father/daughter team has been active for the last couple decades in the form of live performances by Hoi Polloi and Chips A’ Hoi. The culminating record album is under the name Cohorts in Cahoots. Their most recent album – Mike and Shelly “Don’t K*ll The Messenger” is now available in CD format at live shows and by request. The album of 10 new original songs is now available on all streaming platforms as well. Come hear songs from these recording projects as well as brand new songs from the pen of Mike and Shelly. Patrick Spiroff Audiences describe Patrick’s performances as raw, emotional, heart-felt and clever. As a troubadour blending Folk and Americana with a touch of pop sensibility, he weaves these attributes into his introspective storytelling. Patrick has over 25 years of experience playing, writing and performing his own music. As the front man for his own band, or currently as a solo troubadour, he has done many hundreds of performances regionally and locally. Patrick has a large catalogue of originals music. He writes songs that will touch your heart and make you tap your feet. His performances are consistently open and honest. Recordings can be heard on all streaming platforms including YouTube, Spotify AppleMusic and Facebook. Carl Anthony Leach Carl has been entertaining audiences in and around the Chicagoland area for decades. His early career includes membership in several area bands including Thumbs Up. Currently Carl performs regularly with the band Rumble Street and also performs frequently as a one-man-band solo artist. Carl is a prolific songwriter with dozens of recordings and ongoing writing projects.
