Christmas Short Play Festival
5 plays in 2 hours for 1 low ticket price; An intimate venue that seats less than forty; three pieces are World Wide Premieres. Our festival features the following shows:

The Long Christmas Dinner by Thornton Wilder, directed by Owen Brown. Owen's scholarship on this influential play set and its opera adaptation is being published in the upcoming issue of The Thornton Wilder Journal. The story is set in historic Missouri near St. Louis.

The Gift of the Magi by Dan Neidermyer, directed by Travis Pfiefer. Based on the classic 1905 O. Henry story of the same name and is a wonderful tale of self-sacrificial love. Director Travis, a St. Louis artist for more than two decades, is an actor, playwright, director, and digital creator.

The World Wide Premiere of our two Christmas Short Play Competition winners , directed by Chandler Spradling. Chandler has been performing, writing, directing, and producing theatre for the last 15 years. He has a special interest in new play development.

Baked Alaska by Kell Lynn Woodend is a powerful story of redemption and community in the face of adversity. Kelli worked for years in NYC in the film and tv industry and has written scripts for Emmy Award-winning documentaries. She now resides in her hometown where she teaches English at her former Catholic school.

The Last Mall Santa by Michael Cox grapples with grief and regret in the light of days gone by and holidays come again. Michael is an actor/playwright making a name for himself in the STL area and has had multiple scripts receive public development.

Bosco's Xmas by Carol W. Berman, directed by Travis Pfiefer. Carol, playwright for this featured monologue from Bread and Wine's short play competition receiving it's worldwide premiere, is a member of The Dramatists Guild, DGPG, and APA who has had plays produced in NYC and internationally.
