Jace is a sophomore athlete at Penn Cambria.
In mid-January, Jace became very sick with flu-like symptoms and severe headaches. After multiple ER visits and doctor appointments, doctors discovered that a serious sinus infection had spread and caused an abscess near the back of his skull, close to critical veins leading to his brain.

Jace was transferred to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he underwent surgery to drain the infection and has been receiving intensive IV antibiotics in the ICU. While he still has a long road to recovery, we are grateful for the incredible medical care he is receiving and encouraged by the progress he’s making.

Once discharged, Jace will continue 4–6 weeks of IV antibiotics at home and will need frequent trips back to Pittsburgh for repeat brain scans and follow-up care to closely monitor his recovery.

We will also be accepting cash donations on site towards the family’s travel expenses.
