- **Event Description**: Come and meet us at Maidenbower Park for a litter pick and a day of information and events for all the family to join in with.About this EventJoin us:To celebrate World Rivers Day 2026 and our local streams and rivers, we are a very special event focusing on the river and what lives around it.This is a joint event with River Mole, River Watch and Gatwick Greenspaces and has the support of the local Crawley Borough Council.There will be many activities taking place on the day, including:Family litter pick around the park and the banks of the Stanford BrookA sample from the brook to see what lives under the water lineInformation about the project in the local areaLots of childrens activities to learn more about rivers in a fun wayCraft activities for all ages, adults and childrenA chance to ask questions on the future of your waterwaysRefreshment stand with cupcakes!This is a family day and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.What you need to know🕒 When: Sunday 27th September 2026, 11am-3pm📍Where to meet: Maidenbower ParkGoogle map HERE.What 3 words: ///larger.images.buyers👉 Booking is not essential but if you do know your will be coming do register so we have an idea of numbers for the litter pick especially.You are welcome to join for a portion of the day or can stay around for the whole thing ☺Accessibility: Most of the activities will be at the park and there is access from a few different points. Litter picking activities could take you off-paths, in mud and working around the ground.
