- **Event Description**: On Thursday, May 7, 2026, the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) will host our annual Youth and Community Outreach Golf Tournament at the beautiful Wakulla Sands Golf Club in Crawfordville. This signature event is one of the primary fundraising efforts that allows WCSO to give back to the community through a wide range of outreach programs and charitable initiatives.

Proceeds from the tournament directly support the Community and Youth Outreach Fund, which is funded solely through donations and fundraising—not through general funds or taxpayer dollars. This fund enables the Sheriff’s Office to host, sponsor, and donate to numerous programs and events that serve Wakulla County residents of all ages.

These efforts include Project Graduation, which provides Wakulla County seniors with a safe, supervised, alcohol- and drug-free celebration on graduation night, as well as Christmas in the Park, an annual event that—thanks to the generosity of our donors—provided over 500 Christmas gifts to children in our community last year.

The Outreach Fund also supports Senior Watch, a program focused on outreach, education, and resources to help protect Wakulla County’s senior citizens. The Outreach Fund also allows the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office to support a variety of civic and community organizations, including service clubs, youth mentoring programs, veterans’ groups, charitable nonprofits, and other local organizations that work to improve quality of life in Wakulla County.

In addition, funds are used to sponsor local youth, middle school, and high school sports teams; support school and student initiatives; and assist a variety of community-based causes throughout the year. Beyond these programs, the fund allows WCSO to host and contribute to additional community events, outreach efforts, and charitable donations that directly benefit Wakulla County residents.

Every dollar raised through the golf tournament and community donations is reinvested back into the community, ensuring these services are provided without impacting the Sheriff’s Office operating budget or using taxpayer dollars.

Businesses and individuals interested in participating or supporting the tournament are encouraged to contact us at (850) 745-7122 or (850) 745-7131. Several sponsorship opportunities are available, and sponsors will be recognized with signage displayed at one of the golf course holes.

Donations to the Community and Youth Outreach Fund are graciously accepted year-round. Contributions may be made in person at the Sheriff’s Office, electronically through our website at wcso.org (under the Resources section), or by using the QR code provided.
