This is a friendly reminder that our next scheduled General Meeting will be held on November 12th, 2025 from 7pm - 9pm at The Scottish Rite of Providence in Cranston RI??

Our presenter this month will be The Owner of Third Rock Emporium, Mark! He will be doing a presentation on An Introduction to Rhode Island Geology and Minerals of Rhode Island!!!⚓️⚓️⚓️

An Introduction to Rhode Island Geology and the Minerals of the Ocean State
⚓️ Join us for an engaging exploration of Rhode Island’s fascinating geologic history and the minerals that make the Ocean State unique. This presentation will introduce the major rock formations that shape our landscape—from ancient metamorphic roots to glacial deposits—and highlight the state’s diverse mineral specimens, including garnet, epidote, quartz, and more. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just beginning your mineral adventures, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for Rhode Island’s small but geologically mighty terrain. ?⚓️?️?

Please bring in your specimens for Show & Tell!! We would love to see what you have found Rock Hounding, Beach Combing, from Our Field Trips or that Special Collection Piece! ⚒️?⚒️ We are going to offer for ONLY RIMH Members to bring in up to 5 Minerals/Specimens to Sell or One Flat (if selling all for one fee, as a flat will count as one item) to down size their collections & give folks an opportunity to grow their’s at the General Meetings.??????

We Also encourage you to bring in Minerals/Specimens/Crystals to Donate. There will be our usual Free Raffle! If you would like to bring in Donated Minerals or Crystals for this that would be greatly appreciated! This is a great way to spread minerals/crystals to folks that may not have a collection or would like to expand their collections! This is a Free Raffle & a way to engage with one another! Spreading Mineral Love!! ??????
