- **Event Description**: Hole Park is delighted to be hosting the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) Kent Branch Annual Beating Retreat ceremony on July 8th 2025. 

This historic ceremony would have been a frequent event in the military of old, it is now a special event and we are delighted to welcome the Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas, joining the Cranbrook Town Band, who will play during the reception, prior to Beating Retreat. 

The Salute will be taken by the Lord Lieutenant of Kent, the Lady Colgrain. 

Wine and canapes will be served during a Reception commencing at 1830 followed by Beating Retreat and The Last Post flag lowering ceremony concluding proceedings at 2045.
