We have something exciting brewing for you! In celebration of Jane Austen's 250th birthday (or the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party--you choose), What the Dickens Bakery from Hastings, NE, will join us on Monday, December 15, to do an authentic British High Tea at 5:30pm.
Make it a fun night out with friends, a special holiday treat for a special someone, or a date night!
Registration is a must at the front desk of the library, with a cost of $20 per person due at time of registration. The library will cover remaining costs to the bakery. Registration is open now through December 11. This event is limited to 30 persons.
High Tea includes two half sandwiches: one savory, one dessert, two sweet bites, and tea, of course, with full crockery. Please let us know ahead of time if you have any specific dietary restrictions or if you would like to be seated with someone specific.
What the Dickens is owned by Beth Funkey & Caroline Kemp. Caroline is from Britain and Beth is an Anglophile--lover of all British things!
