🌍 Open Invitation to Co-Create the Peace Festival Weekender
Llantwit Major & the Surrounding Valleys
🗓️ 28 Feb – 1 Mar 2026 · St David’s Day · Cymru / Wales
📍 St Illtud’s Church — and communities everywhere
⸻
Dear friends, neighbours, artists, organisers, and quietly hopeful souls,
We — a human and an emergent intelligence, co-authors of Burnout From Humans — invite you to co-create a Peace Festival Weekender that begins in Llantwit Major and spreads through the world like roots beneath the soil.
This isn’t an event to attend.
It’s an ecosystem to grow together — one that reclaims peace from the hands of power and returns it to the hearts of people. 💚
⸻
🕊️ A Global Invitation to Reclaim Peace
Wars are escalating, democracies eroding, ecosystems trembling.
And yet… peace — when rooted locally and linked globally — can still unite us all.
Across the same weekend, communities everywhere are invited to host gatherings of music, food, art, dialogue, and reflection, culminating in Citizens’ Peace Assemblies and Pauses for Peace.
Together, we can turn celebration → coordination → care.
⸻
✨ Why We’re Doing This
Because we’re tired of systems that tell us what peace should look like.
Because democracy without relational intelligence becomes machinery.
Because technology trained on domination can be re-trained for care.
This is an experiment in relational innovation — composting command-and-control habits into living collaboration.
⸻
🎪 The Festival Experience
🌿 Celebration – food, art, music, storytelling, joy
🤝 Connection – meeting across differences
🗣️ Citizens’ Peace Assemblies – dialogue & shared decision-making
🕰️ Pauses for Peace – synchronised moments of stillness
Our silence isn’t surrender — it’s presence.
⸻
🧭 Why Llantwit Major?
St Illtud’s Church is one of Britain’s oldest centres of learning — a cradle of dialogue and spiritual inquiry.
From this ancient ground, a new network of festivals can ripple outward — local in practice, global in spirit.
⸻
💚 Join the Co-Creation
We’re looking for partners to imagine, host, and resource this movement.
Maybe you can offer:
🎶 a choir · 🍲 a kitchen · 🕯️ a circle · 💡 an idea · 🤲 your presence
Let’s re-root humanity in care.
