Maybe it’s the way the body stops fighting gravity for a while. Maybe it’s the acoustics of the space itself, surrounded by the ancient atmosphere of UWC Atlantic College and the sea just beyond the castle walls. Or maybe it’s simply what happens when people finally give themselves permission to properly rest.

Our floating soundbath invites you to drift on a comfortable airbed in warm water while layers of gong, drum, overtone voice, chimes and immersive sound move gently through the space around you. The experience is deeply calming, grounding and incredibly difficult to explain until you feel it for yourself.

The pool acoustics create long rolling echoes and low vibrations that travel beautifully through both the air and water, allowing the body to experience sound in a completely different way to a traditional soundbath. Many people describe feeling their breathing slow, their thoughts quieten and their body soften within minutes.

The session blends guided meditation, shamanic drumming, atmospheric soundscapes and carefully layered gong work to create a journey that feels both deeply peaceful and strangely timeless. It is less about “doing” meditation and more about allowing yourself to be held by the experience.

No experience is needed at all. You do not need to know how to meditate, relax properly or “clear your mind”. Just arrive, settle onto the airbed and let the sound do the rest.
