No PROMISES are an Australian alt-country duo from South Gippsland, Victoria, whose
harmony-rich sound draws comparisons to Fleetwood Mac, Linda Ronstadt and the
Eagles while remaining distinctly their own. Comprised of acclaimed singer-songwriters
Janine Garvey and Eric Collier, the duo are known for great storytelling, soaring
harmonies and timeless country-rock songwriting.
Their latest album, Siren, has marked a major breakthrough for the independent
regional Victorian duo, debuting at #1 on the ARIA Australian Country Albums Chart
and holding the #1 position for two consecutive weeks. The album also reached #9 on
the ARIA Australian Albums Chart and #15 on the ARIA Top 40 Australian Albums Chart
— a remarkable achievement for independent artists from regional Victoria and a
significant milestone in the duo's growing national profile.
Produced, engineered and mixed by acclaimed Australian producer Matt Fell, Siren
represents a defining chapter in No PROMISES' evolution. Blending classic 1970s West
Coast influences with contemporary themes, the album showcases the duo's strongest
and most cohesive collection of songs to date, combining rich harmonies, powerful
vocals, evocative storytelling and authentic country-rock musicianship.
Their songwriting has earned growing industry recognition, including finalist placings in
the Maldon Folk Festival - Roddy Reed Songwriting Competition, the TSA Songwriting
Awards, the ASA awards and the 2026 Listen Up Songwriting Competition, reflecting
the strength of their craft and the emotional resonance of their music.
No PROMISES have steadily built a loyal audience through independent releases,
national radio support, festival appearances and compelling live performances that
celebrate genuine musicianship. Whether performing as an intimate acoustic duo or
backed by a full band, Janine Garvey and Eric Collier deliver powerful, emotionally
charged performances that connect deeply with audiences.
With Siren, No PROMISES have taken a significant step onto the national stage,
proving that exceptional independent music can come from anywhere. From South
Gippsland to the top of the ARIA charts, No PROMISES are establishing themselves as
one of Australia's most exciting independent alt-country acts — creating music that feels
both nostalgic and refreshingly original.
