Wellness Action Plan Workshop
Due to the funding requirements, this workshop is aimed at businesses located in Coventry and Warwickshire only and forms part of the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Support Programme, part funded by the Coventry City Council and the European Regional Development Fund. (ERDF)
The event is aimed at SME business owners, directors, managers, health and safety and HR professionals who have a responsibility for their employees. No prior knowledge is required. This event supports the mental health criteria in the Thrive at Work Workplace Wellbeing Award. (which replaces the Workplace Wellbeing Charter)
Wellness Actions Plans (WAPs) are an easy, practical way of helping you to support your own mental health at work, and if you are a manager, helping you to support the mental health of your team members.
Everyone can complete a WAP, you don't need to have a mental health problem in order to feel the benefits. It just means that you already have practical steps in place to ensure you are supported when you aren't feeling great.
This Session will be led by Denver Thorpe from Coventry & Warwickshire Mind.
It will include:
Introduction to the session and rationale
A bit of background
How can we take responsibility for our own mental health?
What constitutes a healthy workplace?
Guide to Wellness Action Plans (WAPs)
What managers can do
THE SESSION WILL BE AN INTER-ACTIVE STYLE WORKSHOP WITH SLIDES, VIDEOS, PAIR WORK AND GROUP DISCUSSION.
Places are limited and will be on a first come, first served basis, preference will be given to SME sized business within the LEP Growth sectors. A maximum of two places per organisation is offered.
This workshop is offered free to those who meet the funding eligibility criteria, a £25 late cancellation and non- attendance fee will be charged. See further details on your booking confirmation email.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The venue is easily accessible by public transport and has free parking on-site.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes, if you are unable to attend you may send a colleague in your place.
