- **Event Description**: As part of the Day of Action for Nature the Friends of Lake View Park will be leading a tour of Lake View ParkAbout this EventWe'll be discussing the history of the park, Natural River Management and future plans as we go around. It will be a gentle walk lasting approx 1.5 - 2 hours. Meet at the junction of Malvern Road and Lake View Park at 11am. There is space for on road parking. Dress for the weather, sturdy footwear recommended, areas of the park may be wet. Toilets are 10 minutes walk away at Morrison's. Young people under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.The Friends of Lake View Park was set up in early 2025 with the aim to improve the park for the benefit of people and nature. The Friends, assisted by Sherbourne Valley Project and the Council Parks and Ecology Teams maintain and improve the park through volunteering undertaking tasks like woodland management, river clearance, Himalayan Balsam Bashing, tree planting, litter picks etc. We also run education events, talks, and social events.
