- **Event Description**: Let your curiosity guide you this May 2nd, as Food Union and Coventry Cathedral once again join forces to bring you Spring Fest, our free all day Festival in the cathedral ruins celebrating local green initiatives and creatives.

We've arranged another brilliant array of musicians, artists, traders and stall holders who'll be helping us celebrate a wonderful day, bursting with family fun that celebrates all things community, sustainability and food. Join us Saturday May 2nd from 12pm til 5pm.

The Entertainment

It wouldn't be Spring Fest without Music so we're once again excited to bring you an eclectic soundtrack to the day including music from;

12:30 World Song Choir - Uplifting Songs, Inspiring Rhythms, Music For The Soul

13:45 Jack Goodall Band - Lively, Upbeat, Spanning A Range Of Genres

15:00 Charles Dexter Ward - Coventry's Finest Dirty Blues Rockers

Plus children of all ages entertainment from Kevin's Community Circus, Roots in Nature, Rebel Manifesto Ariel plus much more.

The Stall Holders

The Pod Café will be on hand cooking up some tasty seasonal treats again this year while the Caffeine Project will be providing an array of hot drinks and cakes.

This year we're also excited to announce the return of Slaughterhouse Brewery and their pop up bar and The Caffeine Project with their locally roasted coffee.

As a social activism program dedicated to creating green connections it is important to us spotlight some of our amazing partners we've collaborated with who share our ethos. This is why we'll be sharing the grounds with other green initiatives including Garden Organic, Five Acre Farm, Team Springboard and more. They'll all be on hand to talk about their amazing work and share details on how you can get involved.

Plus

Local honey, naturally dyed clothes, prints, zines and jewellery. This is a small selection of the wares our local merchants will be providing and each has been selected due to their attention to keeping things sustainable and green. Without a doubt, worth a peruse before settling in for a day of music and food.

And Finally

As part of the festival Food Union will be hosting a city wide plant swap. It's a simple idea, bring your spare plants and trade them for someone else's excess. Swap for swap, we don't mind if it's a flower for a cucumber. Nothing to trade? A small donation will suffice. We'll have an array of crop plants to start things off.
