This year's lecture will be given by the country's leading human rights lawyer, Michael Mansfield KC, on a history of protest, today faced with growing restrictions, entitled 'Suppressed Democracy'.

Michael Mansfield has been involved in many of the leading cases of injustice over the last 60 years, including the Birmingham Six and the Guildford Four; the family of Stephen Lawrence in the inquiry into his murder; representing families in the Bloody Sunday Inquiry; the families of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster, and many, many more.
