Comfy & Acoustic: Annie Dressner, Mountainface, Me,Thee & E

*Two times Best UK Venue 2016 & 2017* (Laurel Canyon Music) *Winner of Best Cafe in Warwickshire/Coventry 2017 & 2018* (What's On Magazine)

Comfy & Acoustic, our showcase of the UK's best folk, acoustic, americana and singer-songwriters, every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.

Annie Dressner
Dressner's songs are delivered with a such conversational ease, it often seems as if she is reading from an intimate letter or a book, set to music. Her straightforward lyrical style, sharp ear for wordplay and crisp, lilting vocals offer listeners a front row seat to her stories, as they take shape above the understated music. She has been compared to an up-tempo Mazzy Star 'Fade Into You,' or Jenny Lewis

Mountainface
Building with 'unstoppable momentum and joy' Mountainface's music is driven by fiercely dynamic mandolin and guitar work, affecting lyrics and swelling three-part harmony. 'From The Margins' describe it as "alt. folk played with the intensity and fire of raw bluegrass. They really have something, a vivid life in their playing, that sets them apart." Whilst 'It Would Crumble' added "the group's passion for their music is clear and marries with their undeniable energy”

Me, Thee & E
Me, Thee & E are a songwriting duo, formed in the summer of 2017. Their take on the singer-songwriter thing spirals out of a love of jazz, classical and folk music. From Bach to Gershwin, Paco de Lucia to Bob Dylan, Ella Fitzgerald and back again, Tom and Evie have performed and absorbed as much as they could together. Now they share their own songs about love, life, death and misadventure, poor days and the search for bigger wisdom in their mid 20s world. Expect vibrant, flamenco inspired interplay between vocal and guitar and many a story from these young troubadours
