A Band Called Malice is the UK’s most authentic and acclaimed tribute to iconic mod rock legends The Jam. Formed by seasoned musician Andy Coultas, the band recreates the energy, precision, and passion of Paul Weller, Bruce Foxton, and Rick Buckler with frightening accuracy. Named after The Jam’s 1982 number-one hit A Town Called Malice, the band is dedicated to preserving their timeless legacy.

Their explosive live shows transport audiences back to the height of the mod revival, with setlists spanning all six studio albums released between 1977 and 1982. Expect iconic hits such as Town Called Malice, Going Underground, Start! and That’s Entertainment, alongside fan favourites and deeper cuts rarely performed by other tribute acts.

Attention to detail is second to none, from identical reproductions of Paul Weller’s Rickenbacker guitars to authentic stage presence and wardrobe, creating a truly immersive sonic and visual experience. Frequently described as “frighteningly realistic,” the band has earned critical acclaim nationwide.

The line-up features Andy Coultas (vocals/guitar), Warren Mee (grade-eight distinguished drummer), and dual bassists Matt Barker and Chris Barr alternating in the role of Bruce Foxton.
