- **Event Description**: In the 19th century Coventry was renowned for bicycle making;  in the 20th century it was car making.  One of Coventry's best kept secrets though is that by the mid 19th century it was also the main centre for British clock and watch manufacturing.

This was largely due to Bahne Bonnisken,  an Anglo Danish watchmaker, who settled in Coventry.  Come along to this talk and find out if your modern high end timepiece owes its accuracy to the revolutionary watch mechanism that Bahne Bonnisken developed.  
The talk will be delivered by Alan Handley and Dr Robert Nash, both keen, well-travelled and published horologists.
