Motif Piano Prelude
a Friendly Mini-Festival for Students of All Ages
This is intended to be a "preparation festival" for students wanting to know what it might feel like to play for an adjudicated festival or exam performance.
Students are invited to play the fabulous concert grand piano at the Stan Hagen Theatre (North Island Collage) and then have a mini adjudication / masterclass experience with Teacher Amie at the end of the class with both group and individual tips to fine tune their performances.
Adventures Awaits:
Primer Piano Class (all ages)
This suits beginner piano learners who are in Primer lesson materials from true beginners to Prep A (RCM) level.
Piano Explorers
Elementary Piano Class (all ages)
This class suits elementary piano learners of all ages who may be in lesson books from Level 1 - Level 2B, RCM Prep B-Grade 2 or similar method book levels.
Piano Quest
Early Intermediate Piano (all ages)
This class suits late elementary and early intermediate piano players who are working on Level 3A-4 method books or Early Intermediate / Grades 3-5.
Soundscape
Own Composition
This class is especially for students who've created their own compositions and would like to share them with others! All ages and levels are welcome!
Center Stage
Late Intermediate / Early Advanced
This class is for students who'd like to experience their piece on a concert grand piano and prepare for further performance opportunities, as well as a mini masterclass that will help them with fine tuning their practice at the piano and help them further refine their performance pieces!
Class times will be between the times of 4:45 - 7:45 and vary slightly according to enrolment in each class. Please email to express interest and to receive your personalized registration form. Once registrations are received, students will have a class schedule with attendance times included!
This opportunity is included in tuition for all Motif students and we hope it will prepare them to continue to share their music in various ways!
